    December 13th Update

Well the 2010 edition of The Intermontane is in full swing. We thought we'd get a little pre season summary on what we've got planned in 2010.

We have brought on board some great new team members. Grace and Phil Hiom have come on board to run the race. They have been adventure racing for years and also have organized a few events for good measure. They have moved from Calgary to Kamloops to be in the center of operations. They raced the 2009 IMC (Team Orange)

We decided to stay with the July date for a few reasons one being the challenge part of racing. We have modified 3 stages. Our first day will now be around a 2-3 hr stage. In 2010, there will be 3 epic stages (70+Kms). The time trail stage will remain close to the same. We plan to change it up a bit to have a little more flow and to make it more accessible to the general public. We have added a rest day on the 4th day. This day will be a guided group ride on a few of the local trails and will have a fun day side to it. This accomplishes a couple of things. It moves the time trial to Saturday from Friday. With Saturday being on a holiday long weekend we expect to get a lot more people on the trail for cheer all our racers on.

The 2010 IMC is about riding some of the best single track in BC and this 2010 will meet that challenge full speed… (pardon the pun)...Take Care and we look forward to seeing you in July, 2010!!
